Dechlorination Systems
Mueller Water's Dechlorination Systems are expertly designed to remove chlorine and chloramine from potable, reclaim, and process water. Chlorine and chloramine are commonly used disinfectants in water treatment, but they can be detrimental in various applications, such as industrial processes, where they may cause corrosion or interfere with production. Our dechlorination systems provide an efficient and reliable solution, built with all necessary pumps, piping, valves, fittings, and automatic controls for seamless integration into your water treatment processes.
How it Works
Dechlorination is typically achieved through the application of reducing agents such as sodium bisulfite or activated carbon. These agents neutralize chlorine and chloramine, rendering them harmless and effectively removing them from the water. The system is equipped with advanced dosing pumps that introduce the reducing agents at precise rates, ensuring complete dechlorination. Activated carbon can also be used as a filtration medium to absorb chlorine and other contaminants. Automated control systems monitor chlorine levels in real-time and adjust the dosing to maintain consistent water quality.
